In film, video production, animation, and related fields, a frame is one of the many still images which compose the complete moving picture. Historically, these were recorded on a long strip of photographic film, and each image looked rather like a framed picture when examined individually, hence the name. In ordinary filming, the frames are photographed automatically, one after the other, in a movie camera. In special effects or animation filming, the frames are often shot one at a time. When the moving picture is displayed, each frame is flashed on a screen for a short time (nowadays, usually 1/24th, 1/25th or 1/30th of a second) and then immediately replaced by the next one. Persistence of vision blends the frames together, producing the illusion of a moving image.
The frame rate, (the rate at which sequential frames are presented), varies according to the video standard in use. In North America and Japan, 30 frames per second is the broadcast standard, with 24 frame/s now common in production for high-definition video. In much of the rest of the world, 25 frame/s is standard. In film projection, 24 frame/s is the norm, except in some special venue systems, such as IMAX, Showscan and Iwerks 70, where 30, 48 or even 60 frame/s have been used. My name is Gip Cutrino, I'm 34 years old and I live outside of Milan, Italy. For the past ten years, I’ve worked as an actor/comedian for Italian Tv shows. On March 29th, 2009 was my son’s second birthday, which I celebrated all day with parents and friends. Around midnight, when everyone went to sleep, I sat on my couch. Yes, you can. It cost only 1 dollar. Just to be knowledgeable of what you are buying, read answers number 1 and 2 in the FAQ list. After purchasing your Frame you can decide to buy more Frames, but please note: Sequence of Frames are programmed by the order of purchasing. To be sure that your Frames will be showed in a sequence, buy a CLIP in the buy’s page.
Yes, the limit is 2,160,000 Frames, since that is how many make up 1 entire day of programming/viewing. Remember it only original Frames for 24 hours, before repeating. Every single Frame costs 1 Dollar. Every second is made up of 25 Frames. So, for example, if you would like to buy 20 seconds of MillionFrame, you have to buy 500 frames. (1 and 2 in the FAQ list)

The soundtrack of MillionFrame is a cacophony (meaningless mixture of sounds) that characterizes the project. It is not possible to recognize the sound of a single audio-frame. However, a long sequence of these Frames (that are all different) builds a kind of hypnotic noise that attracts the attention of visitors. You can upload any type of audio: voice, music, industrial noise, ect. However, you CANNOT leave your Frame/s without audio. Any kind of sound is fine, but remember, it is mandatory. If you buy a Frame sequence or a CLIP you can upload audio that makes sense, for example a voice spot, music, a song ect. Even better, you can make a combination between video and audio, which is a greater opportunity to convince visitors to click on your Frames.
You can choose from different extensions: aiff, mp3, aac and wav. Size is limited to 100 mb for each audio file uploaded. The time limit to upload is 1 second over the length of purchased Frame. For example: if you buy 1 Frame you can upload a maximum of 26 frames of audio and it will be cut automatically to the right length. Audio will be played simultaneously with your Frame/s. If you buy a clip your audio should be the same of overwritten format, but audio must be included in the video that you upload and size is extended to 500 mb (including video and audio). You can choose from the following codec: quicktime, mov, mpeg2, mpeg4 and avi. All video/s that you upload must be a minimum 640 x 480 to a maximum size of 1920 x 1080. Each video has to have an audio track, (I suggest 44,100 kHz, 16 bit, stereo). The uploading size is limited to 500 mb per video, for bigger sizes contact oversize@millionframes.com. All videos uploaded must be the exact length of purchased frames, (remember, 1 second of video is 25 frames). If the length is too long, the videoclip will be cut automatically to the correct length of time. If is too short video will NOT be uploaded and you will be contacted by MillionFrame.
You can choose from the following extensions: jpeg, tiff, bmp and gif. Once again, the minimum size is 640 x 480, and the maximum size 1920 x 1080. The definition must be minimum 72 dpi, maximum 300 dpi. Uploading size is limited to 10 mb each frame. For a bigger size contact: oversize@millionframes.com.
No. MillionFrame is NOT an adult content site, therefore it is forbidden to upload images or videos of: pornography, discriminatory remarks which contain vulgar language, are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially/ethnically offensive, or illustrate illegal activity. Any uploaded content that will be considerate inappropriate, will be NOT displayed and the money will NOT be refunded.

Yes. MillionFrame is not politically influenced. You can upload political campaigns, promos, ect. Remember, is forbidden to upload any content considered defamatory, hateful, racially/ethnically offensive, as well as, vulgar language. Yes. Frames are available for everyone. You can buy Frame/s for various reasons: you can just put your face on the purchased Frame and it will link to your personal homepage, or you can buy more Frames to upload a commercial, music video, or perhaps a message of world peace. Yes. Be careful that you have to have the rights to use all of the images, music and data of any sort of your spot, video or movie.
